Kelechi Iheanacho has signed a new three-year contract with Leicester, keeping him at tge King Power Stadium till 2024.
The Nigerian striker has been rewarded after scoring seven goals in his last four games in all competitions, winning the Premier League Player of the Month award for March.
He has nine goals in his last nine games, having failed to score in his previous 12 matches and netted his first Premier League hat-trick in the 5-0 win over Sheffield United on March 14.
The Nigerian will take on former club Manchester City, who sold him for £25m in 2017, on Saturday evening.
The 24 year old striker is now flourishing with the foxes after a rather slow start. Speaking ahead of Manchester City’s Premier League clash away at King Power Stadium, Guardiola hailed Iheanacho over his scoring exploits.
The foxes are third in the Premier League table, 15 points behind Pep Guardiola’s Cityzens.
