KeNHA Announces Month-long Traffic Disruptions Near Syokimau Railway Station

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced significant traffic disruptions on the Mombasa Road (A8) near Syokimau Railway Station.

Starting from Friday, September 20, 2024, until Tuesday, October 22, 2024, motorists heading towards Nairobi can expect delays as road realignment and the construction of a mid-span footbridge foundation commence.

This essential infrastructure development is designed to enhance safety and accessibility for pedestrians and motorists alike. The footbridge will improve crossing opportunities in a busy area, which has seen increasing traffic over the years.

KeNHA has urged all road users to remain patient during this period and to follow the designated traffic management plan. Officials will be on-site to assist with the flow of traffic, and cooperation with police and traffic marshals is highly encouraged.

Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly, considering alternative routes where possible. KeNHA appreciates the public’s understanding and support as they work to enhance road safety and infrastructure.
