The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced traffic disruption along the Thika-Garissa Road amid raging floods.
KeNHA, in a travel advisory, says the road at Arer, approximately 41kms from Bangali town has been washed away by floods.
“The right-hand side of the road has been washed away following the ongoing flooding, which overwhelmed the adjacent box culverts,” the post reads.
According to the agency, motorists should exercise patience, and allow water levels to subside before proceeding with their journey.
The agency has, however, assured the users that its staff are on site to help restore traffic passage through the affected section.
