The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has some important news for drivers: a section of the Mai Mahiu-Narok Road is closed tonight, April 29th, 2024.
Heavy rains caused a buildup of silt and debris over a kilometre long near Suswa, about 27 kilometres from Mai Mahiu town towards Narok.
To ensure safety and a smooth cleanup, KeNHA has closed the affected section.
Crews are already on site working through the night to clear the debris. The closure will prevent vehicles from getting stuck and other potential hazards.
If you’re planning to travel on this route, here’s what you need to do:
- Use the alternative route: the main Nairobi-Nakuru Highway.
KeNHA apologizes for any inconvenience caused and appreciates your patience as they work to get the road reopened as soon as possible.
