KeNHA Gears For Key Lapsset Road Project

    The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) team led by the Director General, Eng. Kungu Ndungu, on Monday, November 14, held a consultative meeting with teams from Lapsset.

    The team was led by the Director General, Stephen Ikua, Garissa County led by Governor Nathif Adam, Isiolo County led by County Executive Committee Member (Lands, Physical Planning, Urban Development and Roads), Mr. Yussuf Dahir, and National Lands Commission led by the Chairman, Mr. Gershom Otachi.

    The purpose of the meeting was to deliberate on the stage construction of the Garissa – Isiolo (A10) Road and associated spur roads to all-weather standards.

    Among the key areas discussed were; Land compensation, youth employment, and sensitization of the project to the local community.

    The project connects the counties of Garissa and Isiolo linking them to the Port of Lamu and the border point of South Sudan at Nakodok.
