The Kenya National Highway Authority (KeNHA) has asked vehicles using the Nairobi-Nakuru highway to seek alternate routes between Saturday and Monday so that the Gilgil toll booth can be demolished.
In a public notification, KeNHA Director General Engineer Peter Mundinia stated that traffic will be disrupted at the weighbridge from Saturday, July 10 at 10 p.m. through Monday, July 12 at 4 p.m.
The snarl will allow the old toll station at the Gilgil weighbridge to be demolished.
Motorists have been advised to use the Njabini flyover – Njabini-Engineer -Okalou Gilgil route or Lanet (Nakuru)-Dundori-Ol Joro Orok-Olkalou-Engineer-Njabibini -Njabini Flyover.
