Kenya Airways has announced the gradual resumption of flight services to specific routes, including Entebbe, Mombasa, and Lusaka, following the cancellation of flights on Saturday and Sunday morning due to a pilot strike.
The national carrier did not mention the fate of other routes in a notice to passengers issued on Sunday.
The airline announced that the flights would only be available to those who had already made bookings.
The strike has affected approximately 10,000 passengers since the pilots declared it in defiance of a court order prohibiting industrial action.
According to Allan Kilavuka, the airline’s managing director and chief executive officer, 23 flights had been canceled as of 11:00 a.m. on Saturday due to “the unlawful strike.”
