ICT Ministry PS Eng John Tanui, on Thursday led a Kenyan delegation comprising of his counterparts Dr Chris Kiptoo(National Treasury), Dr Korir Sing’oei (Foreign and Diaspora Affairs) and Eng Joseph Mungai (Roads) at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology campus.

The PSs were informed on how KAIST changed the Korean economy and how the Kenya Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) Project can benefit from the lessons learned from the Korean example.

The establishment of the Kenya Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) Project is now hindered by a number of obstacles, and the Kenyan delegation was informed of them as well, with discussions focusing on possible solutions.

After a brief signing ceremony, the delegation was then taken on a campus tour of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology with a focus on the Academic Cultural Complex and Idea Factory as well as the KAIST Analysis Center for Research Advancement (KARA).
