Man In Court For Stealing IEBC Laptop

Musa allegedly stole one laptop make HP Probook valued at Ksh 226,240

Court defers plea taking for a suspect accused of stealing an IEBC Laptop containing voter registration data.

Musa Ogendo Sirangi was arraigned before Milimani Law courts where he was expected to take a plea over allegations of stealing contrary to the law.

According to the charge sheet tabled in court, on August 17, 2022, at Anniversary towers, Musa stole one laptop make HP Probook valued at Ksh 226,240 the property of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.

However, the accused upon being produced in court declined to take plea stating that he was assaulted during the arrest and as a result, he was unable to answer the charges. He pleaded with the court to allow him to seek medical attention.

The court satisfied with the reasons given deferred the case to Monday and ordered the police officers to take him to the hospital.
