The commonwealth parliamentarians met and discussed the challenges they faced and resolutions that can be implemented.

The resolutions that they wanted to be implemented include the following in order to do their tasks without a lot of restrictions.

Lobbing for signing and ratification of international and regional instruments that promote People with disabilities, creation of more awareness about People with disabilities, proper supervision of institutions to avoid violence, reporting of incidences of violence, regulation of standards that regulate the treatment of People with disabilities.

The parliamentarians also stated the challenges they faced: lack of confidence to do their work due to discrimination, lack of proper checks and balances and compliance with regulations on People with disabilities, cyber-crimes.

In Tanzania they have implemented various policies to make it bearable for People with disabilities.

More number of political seats in the government for People with disabilities, a commision to monitor against violence of People with disabilities are some of the policies.

In Uganda Mpindi Buramal stated that they too have favorable policies for people with disabilities.

The ministry of Uganda has set aside grants up to thirty million Uganda shillings.

In Tanzania with the coming census they are trying to figure out how to collect data for people with disabilities.

They have put aside 2% of revenue with no interest rate per individual.

These with going to the extent of giving a priority to people with disabilities and children born of people with disabilities priority in university loans application.
