Kilifi’s Pamoja African Alliance (PAA) gubernatorial candidate George Kithi has said that joining Kenya Kwanza Alliance was the best option for the party and now they are focused on the delivery of all their plans as stated in the agreement.
Mr Kithi was speaking at Shimo La Tewa ward in Kilifi South.”Azimio tried to play games with us and we realised that we would not make any headway. They had hidden to us and we were in dark over our resolutions as Coast people and as PAA.
That is why we decided to move to KK where our agreements were made public and the people know what is expected of us,” he said.Mr Kithi was accompanied by Shimo La Tewa MCA Sammy Ndago, Kilifi South MP aspirant Sophy Kadzo and Women Rep aspirant Christine Zawadi.
Mr Ndago said he was determined to bring more development to Shimo La Tewa more so because of the PAA party which is advocating for the development of the region.
“Sometimes our decisions on the economic development of our region were being thrown away because we had no party that would advocate for the same. Now that we have PAA, things will surely change for the better. PAA is the only solution to end our problems, ” said Mr Ndago.
Ms Kombe said with the PAA political party in place the demands of the Coast people will be met without any hitches.
“PAA ni chama cha nyumbani and we are happy that we have our own party that will be 8n direct charge of our demands,” she said.Ms Zawadi also lauded Governor Amason Kingi and the PAA fraternity for joining KK saying that was the best option for them as the party.
“The future of Coast is now great under PAA.After we discovered that Azimio had no plans of working with us, we decided that it was time to join the winning team,” she said.
The leaders after addressing residents from Scheme area, later met with local clubs that were in a football soccer competition at Mtomondoni school grounds before meeting with local leaders at a hotel in Mtwapa town.
Mr Ndago and Mr Kithi vowed to make sure that Mtwapa gets back to its development vibrant business hub.
“This town will breathe again. We know that the Mtwapa of today is not the same one of yesteryears but we shall make sure that we come up with policies that will make business grow again after several years of slumber, ” said Mr Ndago.
“We have an elaborate plan about how this town will bounce back into robust business and in partnering with my MCA Ndago we shall change the face of doing business for the better,”added Mr Kithi.
