Kenya Kwanza Brigade Faces Hostile Kitale

Deputy President William Ruto confronted another hostile crowd in Kitale, Trans Nzoia County.

In the presence of Ruto, Mudavadi, and Wetangula, the mob began shouting the name of former Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya.

Wetangula, who attempted to calm the rowdy crowd asked locals to vote for Kenya Kwanza Alliance candidates at all levels of government.

“Don’t let your emotions get the best of you and cause you to make a mistake. People who have been brought here by puppet parties like DAP are not welcome. That party is ODM in new colors, if you look closely.”

It was the Kenya Kwanza Alliance’s second encounter with a hostile crowd, after a campaign stop in Khwisero, the hometown of Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli.

Maurice Kakai, the former Head of Information and Computing Technology (ICT) and Strategy in the DP’s office, defected from UDA to DAP-K on Wednesday morning, just hours before the Kitale event.

He was welcomed by Wafula Wamunyinyi, the DAP-K party chairman, and Eugene Wamalwa, the Defence Cabinet Secretary.
