Kenya Kwanza Locked Out Of Bukhungu Stadium

The Kenya Kwanza Alliance will not hold its final Kakamega rally in Bukhungu Stadium.

This Sunday, the rally led by Deputy President William Ruto, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, and his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula was scheduled to take place at the Stadium.

However, the group claims they were turned down for a permit to hold a rally at the stadium.

Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala, who is currently running for governor, claimed that the county engaged in “a cat and mouse game” in order to obtain a permit for the venue.

Malala insisted that they would still hold the rally outside the stadium and that it was still going to happen.

The action might result in a dramatic incident because the police are expected to intervene to clear the crowd from the road so that traffic can enter the town.

The main entrance to Kakamega town from Eldoret and Webuye is on the adjacent road. The route to and from the town is traveled by vehicles going to Webuye and Eldoret.
