Kenya Met issues weather forecast for next 7 days

    The Kenya Meteorological (Kenya Met) Department has predicted predominantly sunny and dry weather conditions for the next seven days in several parts of the country.

    In a detailed seven-day weather advisory, the dry spell is expected over a few places from February 11 to February 17, 2025, and the sunny intervals will be accompanied by moderate rainfall.

    However, according to the latest advisory, occasional rainfall may be observed in the Highlands West and East of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Rift Valley, the Southeastern lowlands, and the Coastal region at the beginning of the forecast period.

    “Predominantly sunny and dry weather conditions are expected across most parts of the country. However, occasional rainfall may be observed in the Highlands West and East of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Rift Valley, the Southeastern lowlands, and the Coastal region at the beginning of the forecast period,” Kenya Met predicts.

    In the advisory, the weatherman indicated that most parts of the country will experience sunny intervals with partly cloudy conditions throughout the week.

    “Most parts of the country will experience dry and sunny conditions,” the weatherman said.

    In the advisory, the weatherman indicated that counties in the Lake Victoria Basin, the Central and South Rift Valley, and parts of the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, High East of the Rift Valley, and North Eastern may experience occasional showers with sunny intervals throughout the week.

    Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet, Nandi, Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia, and West Pokot.

    Nairobi, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka, Nairobi, Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, and Isiolo counties.

    “Occasional rainfall may be observed in the Highlands West and East of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Rift Valley,
    the southeastern lowlands, and the coastal region at the beginning of the forecast period,” Kenya Met predicted.
