Several people are nursing serious injuries after the bus they were traveling in rammed into a lorry on Thika Road.
The Kenya Mpya bus was on its way from Thika to Nairobi CBD when the accident occurred in the Roysambu neighborhood.
According to witnesses, the driver screamed that the brakes on the vehicle had failed prior to the accident.
So far, several people have been rushed to the hospital.
Traffic has also been disrupted, with authorities advising motorists to take alternate routes until the situation is resolved.
