KPLC Increases Security Along Powerlines Ahead Of Climate Summit

Kenya Power has increased supervision of power wires in Nairobi as the Africa Climate Week and Summit 2023 begins at the Kenyatta International Conventional Centre (KICC).

KPLC has since allocated a dedicated crew to monitor all power transmitters at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The team, led by KPLC CEO and MD Dr Joseph Siror, has been tasked with ensuring that all installations are working smoothly and without interruption during the high-level climate meeting.

Last-minute details include significant installations and the replacement of defective street lighting.

KPLC has also sent crews to conduct round-the-clock power surveillance in the vicinity of five-star hotels where heads of state and other dignitaries will be staying.
