Kenya Power has announced the resumption of prepaid electricity token services.
This comes after Kenyans encountered difficulties purchasing the tokens on Thursday morning.
Kenya Power said in a statement on Tuesday that the token system experienced a glitch that has since been resolved.
“We are happy to inform you that the prepaid system hitch has been resolved and customers can now purchase electricity tokens,” the statement read.
“We apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
In an earlier update, Kenya had said they were looking into the matter.
“We are experiencing a hitch on the prepaid system which is affecting the generation of electricity tokens,” the notice read.
Kenya Power however said that they are working to restore normalcy within the shortest time possible.
