Kenya Railways Suspends Commuter Train Services Ahead Of Azimio Demos

The Kenya Railways Corporation (KRC) has suspended commuter train services on Monday, March 27.

In a notice on Sunday evening, KRC said the commuter train services were suspended as a result of unavoidable circumstances.

However, the management says that all Madaraka Express link trains that connect the Nairobi Central Station and the Nairobi Terminus will run as scheduled.

“We do sincerely apologise to our esteemed customers for any inconvenience caused,” KRC said in the statement.

The management has not disclosed any details regarding the reasons behind the suspension of the commuter train services.

The suspension comes on a day when the Opposition will be holding its second protest countrywide.
