Four police officers finished first in the recently concluded Kenya Sports Shooting Championship, with DCI’s Agnes Muchiri taking first place in the hand gun production category.
Muchiri, the country’s current top lady shooter, impressed spectators with her lightning speed, which helped her secure the top spot. Caroline Kiama of Chalbi and fellow cop Irene Wanjiku finished second and third, respectively.
Inspector Samuel Chacha of the General Service Unit won first place in the Standard division, while Inspector Mohammed Adan of the Nairobi Area came in second place in the Production division.

Civilian shooter Ibrahim Ndung’u, Kenya’s top master shooter, maintained his production lead, while Eng. Sammy Onyango finished second in the Standard division.
The chief guest, Cabinet Secretary for Sports Amb Dr Amina Mohanmmed, congratulated the competitors on their professionalism in weapon handling and sportsmanship.
She also congratulated the event’s organizers on a job well done, given that Kenya was hosting the event for the first time.
