The Kenyan government has announced an immediate evacuation plan for its citizens living in Israel and Iran following intensifying hostilities between the two nations.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the State Department for Diaspora Affairs urged Kenyans in both countries to register their details urgently to enable swift and coordinated evacuation.

“For your safety and to ensure we can assist you promptly in case of any emergency or distress, we kindly ask you to register your details,” read part of the notice.

The department provided hotline numbers and embassy contacts for Kenyans in both Iran and Israel, adding that government teams were on standby to facilitate the evacuation.

In Iran, Kenyans were directed to contact the Kenyan Embassy in Tehran via +98 21 88667394 / +98 21 88667368.

In Israel, the Kenyan Embassy in Tel Aviv can be reached via +972 3 5754633 or +972 54 691 4773.

Diaspora Affairs can also be contacted via +254 207 876 000 or +254 114 757 002.

The evacuation announcement comes days after the ministry warned Kenyan nationals in the region to remain alert, limit movement, and keep essential documents and supplies ready.

Tensions escalated sharply following Israeli airstrikes that reportedly killed top Iranian military officials. The fallout has led to mass displacements, with over 100,000 residents fleeing Tehran, according to regional reports.

Kenya’s Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Korir Sing’oei earlier expressed concern over the crisis, warning it could destabilize the broader Middle East.

“We are following with deep concern the escalating situation… with grievous implications for regional and global peace,” he said.
