Kenya to Host Landmark Africa AI Conference as Experts Push for Strategic Collaboration

Kenya is set to host the inaugural Africa Artificial Intelligence Conference (AIPAC 2025), a landmark event aimed at shaping the continent’s future in Artificial Intelligence through strategic partnerships, policy development, and innovation showcases. The four-day event will run from August 25 in Mombasa, drawing over 1,500 delegates including business leaders, policymakers, researchers, innovators, and academics from across Africa and beyond.

Themed around co-creating national AI strategies and fostering sustainable growth in the digital economy, AIPAC 2025 is expected to serve as a springboard for investment, ethical policy-making, and cross-border cooperation in the fast-evolving AI space.

“This is more than a conference, it’s a platform to shape Africa’s AI future and open global doors for Kenyan ingenuity,” said Harun Katusya, Director and Chairman of the AIPAC 2025 Secretariat.

Katusya added that the event presents a rare opportunity for investor-startup matchmaking, aimed at catalyzing capital flows into Africa’s nascent but rapidly growing AI enterprises. “AIPAC 2025 offers Kenya a unique opportunity for investor-startup matchmaking to drive capital investments into AI enterprises,” he noted.

One of the key highlights of the conference will be discussions on forming robust public-private partnerships to advance AI integration in sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, climate resilience, governance, financial services, industry, and trade. These focus areas, EduTech, HealthTech, AgriTech, ClimaTech, GovTech, FinTech, TradeTech, and InduTech, will take center stage as experts seek to unlock the full potential of AI-driven solutions tailored to African realities.

Kenya’s most prominent AI entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to engage directly with global venture capitalists and private equity investors, fostering connections that could shape the next generation of African tech giants. Delegates will also work on developing ethical AI frameworks, national strategies, and key policy recommendations that reflect both local priorities and global standards.

Moreover, the conference will provide Kenyan universities and research institutions with access to international research and development (R&D) opportunities, strengthening the country’s position as a knowledge and innovation hub.

Organizers expect the event to be a turning point for Kenya, showcasing its growing influence in Africa’s digital transformation and cementing its role as the continent’s leading AI destination.

“It is a pivotal step in aligning Africa’s AI ambitions with global standards and trends,” Katusya emphasized.

As the global race for AI dominance intensifies, AIPAC 2025 offers African nations a timely and strategic forum to craft inclusive, homegrown solutions while positioning themselves as competitive players in the fourth industrial revolution.
