Moses Kuria, the cabinet secretary for trade, investment, and industry, had a busy day in Saudi Arabia, where he met with the Saudi Fund for Development to discuss future cooperation plans.
Additionally, a partnership framework for co-investment in renewable energy, special economic zones, the digital economy, water, financial services, infrastructure, and logistics has been launched by a pact between the Kenya Development Corporation and the Saudi Public Investment Fund.
Kuria also met with the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry, where he gave them the assurance that Kenya was open for business. The meeting was hosted by Mr. Ajlan A. AL Ajlan and the federation’s leadership.
As Kenya hosts the Africa Private Sector Alliance Conference and Awards in March 2023, the federation decided to establish a joint Kenya-Saudi Arabia Business Council, which would hold its inaugural meeting in Nairobi.
As shown during the Kenya International Investment Conference that same month, this will pave the way for additional investment in Kenya.
