The United States Ambassador to Kenya and her delegation were hosted by the CS for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Mithika Linturi, at Kilimo House in Nairobi.

Since the USA is Kenya’s main export destination for clothing, it was determined that the nation needed to stimulate cotton production to increase exports.

Kenya also exports a lot of coffee, macadamia nuts, and tea to the United States, although production and market access might be better.

To further increase trade ties between Kenya and the US, they also decided to expand bilateral commerce in cattle and animal products and revive local pyrethrum manufacturing.

A conference on agriculture and commerce will bring together exporters and importers from both nations to debate rules, procedures, and ways to improve their agribusiness in order to decrease trade obstacles between Kenya and the US.

Development of Crops Senior ministry personnel including PS Harry Kimtai, PS HarsmaKello, and PS Harry Kimtai, who oversees livestock development, were there.
