Kenyan Celebs Shocked by Prices Abroad: “Way Cheaper Than Back Home!”

Two Kenyan Instagram celebrities have sparked debate after sharing their shopping experiences abroad.

Actress Minne Kariuki, currently in the UK, shared her surprise after a casual trip to the store, noting how household essentials and basic commodities were far more affordable than in Kenya. She highlighted the huge difference in cost, leaving her followers comparing Nairobi’s high supermarket prices with those in London.

In the US, socialite Risper Faith also joined the conversation after going out to shop. While looking at the latest iPhone, she pointed out that the gadget was selling for much less than what Kenyan retailers charge, sparking disbelief among her fans.

Their revelations have since fueled discussions online, with many Kenyans questioning why everyday items and imported electronics remain so expensive at home compared to global markets.
