Kenyan Drivers to Benefit from New Nationwide Roadside Assistance by Rescue.co

Kenyan motorists have a new reason to feel safer on the roads, following the official launch of Roadside by rescue.co, a nationwide roadside emergency assistance service by East Africa’s leading emergency response network, Rescue.co.

The new service, available at KES 8,888 per vehicle annually (VAT inclusive), offers members access to Kenya’s largest and most sophisticated emergency response system. Powered by Rescue.co’s award-winning Flare technology platform, Roadside by rescue.co provides rapid and reliable assistance for common vehicle issues including towing (up to 600 km annually or four rescue calls), jump-starts, tire changes, fuel delivery, key retrieval, and vehicle recovery. It also includes mobile security responses and ambulance dispatch for road-related medical emergencies.

“Roadside emergencies are among the most common incidents experienced daily across Kenya,” said Caitlin Dolkart, Co-founder of Rescue.co. “With Roadside by rescue.co, we’re extending our trusted network and cutting-edge technology directly to Kenya’s roads, offering peace of mind to drivers, fleet operators, insurers, and businesses.”

Kenya’s roads are increasingly risky, with the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) reporting over 4,000 traffic-related deaths and 18,000 accidents in 2023 alone. Long travel distances, unpredictable traffic, and inadequate local emergency services make swift roadside support not just helpful, but critical.

Having offered general roadside support since 2018, Rescue.co has now formalized this offering into a standalone service in response to growing demand. It complements their existing Safetravels evacuation plan and broader emergency services.

The rollout already boasts major corporate partners including Glovo, Bolt, ICEA Lion, and JW Seagon, along with several fleet managers, ride-hailing operators, and insurers, signaling strong confidence in the brand’s reach and reliability.

“Understanding the critical importance of mobility and vehicle safety to Kenyans, we’ve created Roadside by rescue.co to ensure drivers have immediate, professional help whenever and wherever they need it,” said Philip Fricke, Director for Road Rescue.

Roadside by rescue.co is now available to individuals, families, and organizations across the country. Memberships can be purchased online at roadside.rescue.co, with discounted rates offered for corporate fleets and volume subscribers.

With over 1,000 professional responders, including 200+ dedicated roadside specialists and access to more than 800 ambulances, Roadside by rescue.co positions itself as the most extensive emergency support network in Kenya, reinforcing Rescue.co’s mission to ensure that high-quality emergency response is just minutes away, anywhere in the country.
