Kenyan Footballer Collapses, Dies During Match

Tisa Boys FC player Brayan Munene has died after collapsing during a football match at Ahero grounds in Nakuru County.

The player is reported to have fallen on the pitch while actively involved in the game, prompting an immediate response from teammates and match officials before medical personnel rushed in to attend to him.

Tisa Boys is a football club in Nakuru County that plays in Division Two under the Football Kenya Federation (FKF).

“Tisa boys FC officially regret to announce the tragic passing our player Brayan Munene during a match at Ahero Stadium yesterday afternoon,” the statement read.

Despite efforts by the on-site response team to stabilize his condition, Munene was pronounced dead, marking a tragic moment during what had been a routine competitive fixture.

The match was subsequently halted as players, officials, and spectators came to terms with the unfolding situation.

Tisa Boys has confirmed that the incident happened during the match against Parkview FC, and despite immediate medical attention, the player passed away.

The club has also stated that it will share more details as they become available.

“The player collapsed on the pitch while actively participating in the game. Despite immediate efforts to provide medical assistance, he sadly passed away. Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to his family, teammates, and everyone affected by this heartbreaking loss.
