A Kenyan student is among three pupils who sustained serious injuries in an electrocution accident at Millfield School, a prestigious private boarding school in Somerset, England.

The incident occurred on Saturday evening when the students came into contact with overhead electrical cables near one of the school’s boarding houses.

The boys, aged between 13 and 14, suffered severe burns and required immediate surgery.

The students were promptly hospitalized and are currently in stable condition, with their families by their sides.

The school has referred the matter to the Health and Safety Executive for investigation.

The Kenyan student, whose identity remains undisclosed, was reportedly attending the school on a sporting scholarship.

The incident has raised concerns about safety protocols at educational institutions, prompting calls for thorough investigations and enhanced measures to prevent similar accidents in the future.
