On Thursday, September 29, officials from Mumbai Airport Customs arrested a Kenyan passenger after discovering she was in possession of cocaine.

Officials at Mumbai Airport apprehended a female passenger from Kenya who had arrived with cocaine worth Ksh72 million.

After a thorough search, the seized cocaine was discovered ingeniously concealed in a special cavity made in her footwear, according to a customs official.

The official said the woman was intercepted at the Airport after intelligence was shared prompting a  thorough search, during which cocaine was recovered.

A total of 490 grams of cocaine was recovered before she was arrested and sent to judicial custody.
