Just under 24 hours of the implementation of stringent measures targeting unvaccinated, 205,948 vaccines were administered to queuing Kenyans.
The statistics include those coming for their first doses at 81,292, while 124,656 Kenyans were administered their second jabs.
This comes after Health CAS Dr Mercy Mwangangi rolled out stringent measures targeting unvaccinated Kenyans, including denial of in-person services from government offices.
The announcement which triggered mixed reactions among Kenyans seems to be working for the government in improving the number of vaccinated citizens.
As of the date of this publication, Kenya confirmed 3,746 new infections from a sample size of 11,537.
This marks a record positivity rate of 32.5pc, scaling Kenya’s COVID-19 tally to 274,645 confirmed cases.
