Over 50 people are feared dead in Londiani junction, Kericho County after a truck lost control and crashed into several cars.
The area of the accident is a big roadside market where several traders sell their goods to motorists and PSVs stop to pick up passengers.
According to witnesses, a lorry approaching the market lost control and rammed into six vehicles, before tipping over.
E-plus Ambulance service, who were among the first responders, say 14 people have been rushed to various hospitals, but tens of people are still trapped under the vehicles.
Kericho Governor Mutai has sent a message of condolence to families affected as rescue efforts continue.
