Kevin Mboya Reappears, Says He Is Not Okay After Girlfriend’s Birthday Surprise

Kevin Mboya, a man who allegedly travelled 500 kilometres from Nairobi to Kwale to surprise his girlfriend with a bouquet of flowers on her birthday, has resurfaced on social media after a four-day absence.

Mboya, a Digital Media Consultant and Marketer, posted a video on YouTube early Sunday morning explaining that he had returned from his trip but was not emotionally okay.

“Hi Guys, I am Kevin Mboya and I arrived safely from Kwale. Four days ago, I travelled to Kwale to see my girlfriend. I went to surprise her with flowers but I returned with them.

“Of course, this passes a message that I am not emotionally okay to share exactly what happened. Although physically I may seem okay emotionally I am not in a good state of mind to share what happened with everyone who is concerned about me.”

“When I went to Kwale, I went there with love but I have come back with room for more love. Thank you for your concern. More about what happened there, I will share it soon,” Mboya stated.

The digital marketer has been trending for the better part of the weekend after taking to his platform to express his excitement about travelling from Nairobi to Kwale to surprise his girlfriend.

Mboya elaborated on his devious strategy, stating that he had not called or texted his girlfriend in the past 24 hours in order to create the impression that he had forgotten about her birthday.

He noted that he went to her workplace to surprise her with flowers.

“I have travelled all the way from Nairobi to Kwale to come and surprise my girlfriend on her birthday. I haven’t texted or called her in the last 24hrs, she maybe thinks I forgot it’s her birthday. I am waiting for her just outside her office to surprise her. I hope it goes well,” Mboya stated.

The public and his followers were concerned about Mboya’s well-being and whereabouts, as he did not update any social media platforms after the tweet.

What transpired during Mboya’s trip to Kwale and the reason he remained silent for the four days are still unknown.
