Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi’s sister Winnie Nyambura has died.
In a short statement, the governor expressed his grief over the loss of his beloved sibling, acknowledging the painful reality of death while finding solace in faith.
“Death is cruel. It takes from us the people we love and cherish, leaving a hurting void. But we have to accept the will of God because it’s in him; we take comfort during such times,” the statement read.
“Rest in eternal peace, my sister, Winnie Peninah Nyambura. As a family, we cherish the times God allowed us to be together. Go well, Nyambura.”
President William Ruto has extended his condolences to the grieving family and offered prayers and support during this difficult period.
“May the Lord grant Governor Kimani Wamatangi strength to bear with the loss of his dear sister, Winnie Nyambura,” Ruto stated.
During this difficult time, the head of state also sent a comforting message to friends and the people of Kiambu.
“The family, friends, and the people of Kiambu are in our thoughts and prayers at this painful time. Rest In Peace, Winnie.”
