Kiambu Police Arrest ‘KK Brothers’ Gang, Recover Four Guns

Police in Kiambu County’s Ruiru and Juja Sub-Counties have arrested five people suspected of being members of a dreaded criminal gang that has terrorized residents.


The gang, also known as the KK brothers, is said to have terrorized residents in Mung’etho, Juja farm, Mast ore, Ruiru town, Ngoingwa, and Mwea.


According to Kiambu County Police Commander Muchangi Kioi, detectives who were tailing the gang recovered firearms from the gang, including two AK 47 rifles and two pistols.


“This gang of young men frequently wears phony police uniforms, masquerading as officers in order to harass and rob residents,” Kioi said.


Police also have mobile phones and a variety of crude weapons that the gang allegedly used to break into electronic stores and homes.


Kioi revealed that three other gang members were apprehended in West Pokot while transporting stolen goods.


The three were discovered with 30 cooking gas cylinders, nine laptop computers, nine television sets, and six woofers.


He further, told journalists outside the Ruiru police station that police are looking for more suspects.
