Kianjokoma Murder Case Postponed

The Kianjakoma murder case, which was scheduled to be heard today, has been postponed to an unknown date due to the transfer of the trial judge.

The case was being heard by Justice Daniel Ogembo, but despite being listed in his court today, it did not proceed due to his transfer.

In the case, six officers Benson Mputhia, Consolata Kariuki, Nicholas Cheruyoit, Martin Wanyama, Lilian Chemuna and James Mwaniki have been charged with the murder of Benson and Emmanuel Ndwiga.

The court had already heard testimonies from two of the brother’s friends and their parents and more witnesses were expected to testify today.

The accused were informed that they will be given new dates on notice by the court so that they can appear for mention.

In November last year, the late brothers’ parents emotionally narrated to the court how they found out that their sons had died at the hands of police in 2021.

John Ndwiga and Catherine Gichuki told the court of the last phone calls that they had with the deceased before they were found dead.
