Former President Mwai Kibaki’s funeral arrangements will be handled by a National Funeral Steering Committee.
The committee will be made up of representatives from the government and the third President’s family, according to Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua.
Kinyua stated that the team will meet for the first time on Saturday and will issue a detailed schedule of events leading up to the State Funeral in due course.
He also mentioned that the schedule of events would include the dates and locations where the family would receive visitors.
All Kenyans, according to Kinyua, will be given the opportunity to pay their last respects to the former Head of State and Government.
