Kibwana Reacts To Mwau Joining UDA

Governor Kivutha Kibwana of Makueni claims he is “shocked” to learn that his deputy, Adelina Mwau, has joined the political camp of Deputy President William Ruto.

Mwau was received by Ruto at his Karen residence in Nairobi on Tuesday morning, January 25.

In the August 9, 2022 General Election, the deputy governor, who has served for the maximum two-term limit, is pursuing the Makueni Woman Representative seat.

“I am astounded to learn that my deputy is siding with Ruto. For the past two terms, she and I have worked effectively together. “She’ll have to navigate the political landscape on her own now.” Kibwana told The Standard on Tuesday.

Mwau had pretended to be with him in Raila Odinga’s Azimio la Umoja camp, according to the governor.

Mwau, a native of Kilungu in Kaiti Constituency, was first elected to office in the Muungano Party’s general election on March 4, 2013, alongside Kibwana.

The two defended their seats on a Wiper Party ticket in the subsequent election, the August 8, 2017 General Election.
