A multimillion ultramodern Bible institute has been launched in Kilifi County.
The institute based at Watamu in Kilifi North Sub County was unveiled by the Committed Believers Evangelical Ministry (CBEM)-Africa church.Its main goal will be to train pastors who will spread the word of God.
Currently the Bible training institute located at Chafisi Baptist Church within Watamu has registered 50 students of theology and intends also to open other courses to enable the community to access technical training.
CBEM Africa Church founder Rev Fredrick Kazungu said the project had fulfilled his 20-year journey of establishing a Bible institute in the area as he has been building it in phases.
Speaking during the official launch of the institute he said it could not have been possible without the support of Mission Global who offered to help in financing the project.
He said currently they are constructing a dining hall which was also sponsored by a donor at a cost of Sh 7 million which is nearly complete.
“One of the objectives of the Bible training institute is to train pastors and missionaries to be effective in the Ministry as well as making disciples and so all through these years I have been praying that the lord could provide a way and facility that would help us train our people,” he said.
He said in 2013 God joined him with pastor Phil Duncan who offered to support the bible institute which has taken all those years building it.
“Today we are here to celebrate after about 20 plus years waiting at least today we are here God has realized this vision and has been faithful to give us this great facility,” he said.
The Reverend thanked all those who supported including Mission Global who have partnered with them to accomplish their dream.
Currently, they also have another theology school in Majengo and another one in Sendemke which are all training pastors.
