“Those officers who have been using county tractors to do business with the county should stop because in our days as MCAs, the county tractors used to make roads not as a business but as a service to residents,” said Mwambire.
He added that business people were colluding with county employees to misuse county resources in the pretext of doing business with County.
“We don’t want to be blamed and I want to urge all those who stole from the County to surrender whatever they stole before we come for them. Some even stole vehicles from the county and we are giving them one week to surrender county properties,” added.
Mr Mung’aro said that he will not tire until all resources stolen from the County are recovered.
“We agreed that we shall work for you and we have started by arresting a county driver who was using a government tractor to do private business,” he said.
Mr. Jambo on his part assured residents that they will get proper services under the leadership of Gideon Mung’aro.
Youth leader Fikirini Jacobs and the chairman of Coast Development Authority (CDA) Phillip Charo called on all leaders to work together in order to serve residents better.
