Kimani Ichung’wah Reveals Ruto’s Plan To Persuade Cornered Anti-finance Bill MPs Change Their Minds

The National Assembly's Leader of the Majority also explained that simplifying the facts and figures in the Bill would help the team persuade legislators cornered by their electorates to oppose the Bill, which is set for debate in Parliament next week.

On Friday, June 2, Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah disclosed that President William Ruto and his team were counting on streamlining proposals in the Finance Bill 2023 to persuade MPs who planned to oppose it.

In a press conference in Nairobi, the MP stated that several of his colleagues had not read the document and were deliberately misleading the public with misinterpreted facts.

The National Assembly’s Leader of the Majority also explained that simplifying the facts and figures in the Bill would help the team persuade legislators cornered by their electorates to oppose the Bill, which is set for debate in Parliament next week.

“It is my hope that we will leave the drama alone.” They have contributed to Kenyans’ misinformation. “I must say that those engaged in a spirited campaign against the Bill have not read that Finance Bill,” he stated.
