A Nairobi Court has issued restraining orders against National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah from publishing any defamatory remarks against City Lawyer Danstan Omari.
Milimani Magistrate Caroline Cheptoo Kemei said Ichung’wah should not publish any defamatory information on any media platform about Lawyer Omari.
She said the orders shall be in force pending determination of the suit which is to be mentioned on November 21 for pre-trial.
Lawyer Omari sued the Kikuyu MP last month, seeking Ksh. 11 million in damages for what he called Ichung’wa’s defamation in a Twitter post.
In February, Ichungwa tweeted: “Phewl At least am known in Kikuyu by my people unlike the fake media-based liar only known along Koinange Street!”
