On Wednesday 5th January 2022 Bahati member of parliament Kimani Ngunjiri found him on the wrong side of the law after a video of him assaulting a lady who works as a sergeant at arms in parliament.
The scuffle unfolded after his fellow members of parliament were throwing words at each other and some fighting while they were debating about the political party’s amendment bill.
As the Sergeant at Arms attempt to cool down the members, Ngunjiri pushes the lady, identified as Ms. Zainab Wario.
Jeremiah Kioni Ndaragwa member of parliament also accused Kimani Ngunjiri of assaulting him in parliament.
He went on to say that the MP strangled him with a tie, “the MP strangled me using my tie and I struggled hard enough not to injure myself, if I had not done that I would have been left with bruises on my face.
I could not believe an old man like Kimani Ngunjiri can reach out and try to strangle me the only reason being that I am voting on the other side.”
Kioni said that Ruto allies resorted to chaos because they don’t have numbers in parliament. He went to promise that he will take action and condemn chaos in parliament.
