Kindiki Iced Out? Kuria Hints at Regional Deal-Making in Ruto’s 2027 Running Mate Choice

Moses Kuria has claimed that Deputy President Kithure Kindiki is not guaranteed the 2027 running mate slot, suggesting the position will be determined by regions that can secure President William Ruto’s re-election. Speaking during an interview on JKLive, Kuria pointed to shifting political dynamics, including the role of ODM influence, voting patterns among Gen Z, and regional alignments. He also reiterated his own ambition to run for president in 2032.

UDA and President Ruto’s confidant, Moses Kuria, has sensationally claimed DP Kithure Kindiki is not the automatic running mate in 2027.

Kuria, in a tell-all interview on JK Live, says President Ruto and UDA will gift the position to regions that will guarantee his re-election.

Kuria named Dr Oburu Odinga as the top contender, adding that Mt Kenya votes are “gone” to one-term opponents.

At the same time, Kuria says Gen Zs have retreated to their tribes and will therefore vote along the same lines.

“Gen Zs will vote alongside their parents and tribes. The decider in the presidential ballot is broad-based. ODM influence should carry the day for William Ruto,” says Kuria.

Kuria predicts he will be President in 2032, adding that GEMA may well vote for Ruto since they have no horse.

“Riggy G will not be on the ballot. And GEMA will do to Kalonzo what they did to Ngilu in 1997,” Kuria said.
