The Directorate of Criminal Investigations today recognized DCI sleuths who raised the country’s flag high in a recent international riffle shooting competition.
The officers were part of a team of Kenya’s top shooters who performed admirably at the 153rd Her Majesty Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Imperial meeting, which was held in Bisley, United Kingdom, from June 23 to July 23.
The team was led by team manager Alfred Njoka and consisted of Corporals Elphas Ngetich, Philip Kipchumba, and DCI’s master of ceremonies senior Sergeant Emmanuel Kalasinga.
The team won several medals, including the National Rifle Association (NRA) Gold Medal in the Marjorie Krier aggregate category.
The director general, who was full of praise for the Marksmen, stated that the DCI valued and appreciated the efforts made by the detectives in the country, adding that their professionalism had given the directorate a human face and earned the institution recognition around the world.
He assured every officer in the directorate of his full support in the performance of their duties.
