Former Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi is among dozens who have been commissioned as new members of the Catholic Men Association (CMA).
The event at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church-Langata drew parishioners to witness the formal induction, which included a Mass and the conferral of certificates and badges to the newly appointed members.
The CMA, a key institution within the Catholic Church, plays a vital role in promoting moral leadership, social justice, and community service among men.
During the commissioning, members were urged to live virtuous lives, actively support the Catholic faith, and contribute positively to their families and society.
Clergy and senior members encouraged the new inductees to exercise integrity, provide guidance, and participate in evangelism and charitable initiatives.
Former Governor Kiraitu Murungi, a founder member of the Catholic Justice and Peace Commission (CJPC) established in 1988, has a longstanding history of service within the Church, particularly in the Meru Diocese.
He has consistently championed social justice and ethical leadership through both his political and ecclesiastical work.
