Kisii Deputy Governor has this morning been arrested and whisked to an undisclosed location, tangatanga allies have alleged.
Joash Maangi, who was leading a pack of leaders to wait and welcome the deputy president William Ruto, was allegedly bundled into a waiting vehicle.
Police sources say, Maangi and other MPs allied to the DP Ruto were suspected of ferrying goons to the location to disrupt the meeting at Gusii stadium, in Kisii county.
The Deputy presidents is among leaders attending the burial of the late Simeon Nyachae at the same venue.
