Prof Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o, Governor of Kisumu, has condemned the destruction of a multi-million dollar ultra-modern funeral home at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital.
Prof Nyong’o claimed that goons posing as protesters broke down a gate and damaged and looted expensive mourge equipment that he had commissioned on Wednesday.
He called the attack on the new funeral home, Nyanza’s first of its kind, “barbaric.” and questioned why the police did not protect the facility from the gang that also stole computers and other valuable equipment.
The looting of a Jamia supermarket, shops, and many other private businesses was also condemned by the Governor as Kisumu picks up its pieces from a dreadful Azimio protest.
