A Kisumu court has resorted to heavily fining a man who resisted arrest and used harsh language toward police personnel.
According to court documents, one Samuel Omondi assaulted Samuel Okhako and other officers.
He allegedly caused them actual bodily damage, according to Winam Law Courts Senior Principal Magistrate R.M Wahanda.
According to documents produced in court, Omondi resisted lawful arrest by PS Vincent Aliuba and PC Faith Chepng’etich.
The accused allegedly yelled nasty language at the cops during the arrest.
“Wajinga Nyinyi” he shouted.
Omondi was also accused of refusing to have his fingerprints taken by a police officer in the third count.
The defendant denied all three allegations and requested leniency from the court because he was an orphan.
The magistrate, however, turned down the motion and gave him Sh100,000 bail.
His case is set to be heard on March 14.
