Kitengela International School Rejects 2022 KCPE Results

The Kitengela International School, which rejected this year’s KCPE results, is hopeful that the Kenya National Examination Council will grant their petition.

According to the school’s Headteacher, John Wanyonyi, who spent the entire Thursday at the KNEC headquarters, he is pleased that his matter was received and acknowledged well.

“The matter has been received and acknowledged by the KNEC and follow-up has commenced. We should expect to hear from them between Friday, today and December 29,” said Wanyonyi.

The school rejected this year’s KCPE results, claiming that they do not reflect its performance or how hard it worked to prepare for the exams.

However, Wanyonyi was unable to reveal the points of contention or the results obtained by the school.

Parents of students at the school who pay more than Sh500,000 per year for tuition and extracurricular activities are putting pressure on the administration to provide answers.

Wanyonyi stated on Thursday that the school never cheated in the examination and questioned why the KNEC “treated” his institution in this manner.

Although the Headteacher is unsure what decision KNEC will make, he remains optimistic that something positive will be announced before December 29.

The school has urged parents and guardians to pray about the situation so that the KNEC can take appropriate action.

Annually, the top school has performed exceptionally well in national examinations.
