Kitui county officers have set out on an inspection spree to access the county’s preparedness for the roll out of the Universal Health Care programme.
A team comprising Ag. CO Lands Madam Grace Kimanzi, Director Mwaniki and Ward Admin Ngeta for Kiome/Thaana visited several health facilities among them, Kavaini, Thitani, Winzyeei, Kyusyani and Thaana.
Among other objectives, the team sent by Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu wanted to assess the preparedness of the facilities in the roll-out of the universal heath care.
Upon explanation and discussion, Residents were very delighted of this rare chance to benefit from the NHIF facility.
“There is some improvement in our health centers and the ability to use NHIF sponsored health care for our communities is a great move to us hustlers.” one resident seeking medical help, said.
“The facilities are well maintained and cleaned. A few adjustments need to be effected, staffing, funding, solar lighting systems will be put in place.” she added.
