The County Government of Kitui is working on modalities to confirm ECDE teachers who have been on contract.
The Governor said the teachers will enjoy a new scheme and an improved package to improve their livelihoods and better the early childhood education in the county.
Governor Dr Malombe said the move will improve education in the county and grow the sector that is categorized under devolved functions.
This plan, according to the Governor, will be implemented by end of February this year.
The Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) recently stipulated how much money teachers should earn depending on their various levels of education and it is expected that different counties implement that for all their teachers.
The county chief was speaking at Kalambani, Mutha of Kitui South during the laying to rest ceremony of the late Mwikali Kituku.
